Revelo ("we", "us", "our") rebuilds outdated small-business websites and shows you the result before you pay anything. This page explains what information we collect when you use revelo.uk, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It's written in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, email [email protected] and we'll sort it out.
What we collect
When you submit the "rebuild my website" form, we collect:
- Your business name
- Your email address, so we can send you the preview link
- Your phone number, if you choose to give it
- Your current website address, or if you don't have one yet, a short description of what your business does and where
We also briefly note the IP address a submission came from, purely to stop automated spam and abuse of the form. It isn't linked to your name or used for any other purpose, and isn't kept long-term.
With your consent, Meta's Pixel sets a cookie in your browser so we can measure how our ad campaigns are performing. We ask first, via the cookie banner. If you decline, it's never loaded. See Cookies below.
What we do with it
| We use it to… | Because… |
|---|---|
| Scrape your existing site and build your free preview | It's the whole point of the form, we can't build a rebuild without it |
| Email you the preview link, and follow up about going live | You've asked us to, by submitting the form |
| Keep a record of who's requested a rebuild | So we don't rebuild the same site twice, and so we can support you if you go live |
| Measure how our Facebook/Instagram ads are performing | To spend our ad budget sensibly, only if you've accepted advertising cookies |
We will never sell your details, and we don't add you to a mailing list or send marketing emails you haven't asked for.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to actually run Revelo. Each only sees what it needs to do its job:
- GitHub: securely stores your submission and runs the automated process that builds your preview
- Vercel: hosts this website and your generated preview site
- Resend: sends the preview-link email to you and internal notification emails to our team
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram): only if you accept advertising cookies, receives ad-performance signals through its Pixel. Governed by Meta's own privacy policy
None of these providers are permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
Cookies
We don't set any cookies until you choose. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you'll allow a single advertising cookie, the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, which lets Meta attribute your visit (and, if you submit the form, the resulting enquiry) to one of our ads. It only loads if you click Allow. If you choose No thanks, it's never set. You can change your choice anytime via Cookie settings in the site footer, through your browser settings, or via Meta's own ad preferences.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as reasonably needed to deliver your preview and, if you go live, to support your site afterwards. If you don't go live, we'll delete your details on request, or automatically after a reasonable period of inactivity. You can ask us to delete your information at any time. See below.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- Ask us to delete your information
- Object to how we're using it
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
